Own the room,
not the coutour.

Every piece was personally selected and collected during my decades-long career as a fashion stylist, from New York City to Atlanta, with stops across Europe along the way.

I'm thrilled to share this collection with a broader circle of clients, so you can experience being professionally styled while wearing something exclusive and rare—and own the room the moment you walk in.

Welcome to A Stylist's Closet — my private collection of runway samples, one-of-a-kind gowns, and limited-edition couture pieces, now available to rent.

The situation:

In the next six months you’ve got a couple of weddings, a charity gala, and a destination corporate weekend for executives and their spouses. You’ll be seeing many of the same faces (and yes, the photos will end up on Instagram), and repeating an outfit isn’t an option. That’s 4-6 dresses/gowns/ensembles you’ll have to search for in stores or online, potentially have altered, buy matching shoes, and adorn with the right jewelry. Even if you love to shop, do have the time and desire to do all that?

That’s where I come in. I’m fashion stylist Shaye Strager, and I’m opening my couture closet to you.

The solution.

Renting couture dresses and one-of-a-kind gowns from a veteran fashion stylist is the smartest way to enjoy luxury fashion without the cost of ownership. You’ll not only have access to my exclusive collection, you’ll also get personalized styling every time you rent. With 25+ years of experience dressing women, I know what it takes to make a lasting impression: confidence, comfort, and the certainty that you're wearing the exact right piece for you.

A personalized styling experience.

Every time you rent, you get personal styling expertise alongside access to my exclusive collection — a full experience, not just a dress. Every fitting comes with a fashion expert who treats you like a trusted friend offering honest, personalized guidance to help you find the most flattering fit, color, and ideal look for your special occasion.

Sustainable fashion, that's why.

It's my mission — inspired in part by my teenage daughter, who buys only pre-loved or pre-owned items — to help counter the damage of "fast fashion" on the planet. Overproduction and a broken retail system are a growing concern among fashionistas of all ages, and my business is grounded in sustainability as my small contribution to the solution. Since I've gathered my collection of dresses, gowns, and other exclusive pieces over decades, A Stylist's Closet offers pristine vintage and rare finds you won't find at retail.
